“Generally positive experience. The house was not as isolated as we anticipated. In fact there was a fair amount of traffic on the rough road behind. Lots of bird life - especially macaws. And lots of monkeys. The beach is not really a swimming beach because of the rocky bottom, but Matapalo beach is only about a 25 minute walk away. We stayed three nights, which was enough. The house has the basics. I’m surprised they don’t provide some basic cooking ingredients, such as cooking oil and……

“Great stay! Super clean, everything we needed in a simple kitchen. Beds cozy. Wildlife all around, sliver of ocean view/sunrise and 3 min walk to swimming beach. Surf breaks up and down coast. Some traffic noise because of loud motorcycles & backfiring cars :), but mostly quiet after dark. Utilized William for tours & Leda for meals- both very talented. Used the walkie-talkie to communicate with office and for making reservations with Lapa Rios (birdwatching) & Encanta La Vida (dinner) Space for……

“Casa Mango is both a lovely property and a beautiful house. The house is extremely well equipped and has a very nicely appointed kitchen w 6 burner gas range, quality pots and pans and service for 8 with a gorgeous dining room table. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the mattresses were comfortable. The pool is spotless but could use a few more chairs and maybe a shade umbrella. The outdoor seating areas are first class.All in all a great place to stay.”

“It is a true rare gem. A wonderful lodge in the middle of the jungle. Our villa was spacious. It has two huge rooms and a giant porch where we saw monkeys. I was grilling to the sound of howler monkeys. The owners are a young Danish couple who are welcoming and helpful. They are building a big pool which is going to be ready in the next few weeks. We were the second guests and I can tell you- this is going to be an upscale lodge so come now while the prices are still reasonable. The way……

“We really enjoyed staying in the jungle and being so close to nature. And it stretched out comfort zone in a good, adventurous way. We experienced the beginning of a possible transition in management but Michael handled it with pura vida. And gracias a Dios, everything worked out in our favor. We recommend it for anyone wanting to get close and comfortable with being in the jungle. :)”
