“My family and I stayed here for a long weekend while my son was in a fishing tournament. The condo was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. We loved it. The only issue we had was that it didn’t come with a dock slip and we had to leave our boat at the floating dock provided by Mariner’s Landing at an additional cost and there was no power there to charge the boat batteries. Other than that, it was perfect!”

“What an amazing quick getaway! Hubby and I just wanted to spend some quality time together. We had the most relaxing time walking the property or staying indoors and enjoying the view but we also caught a movie and went to the Booker T. Washington monument and plantation. “Our first time at SML did not disappoint. Cabin was comfortable for the 3 of us and our pup. It was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals and enjoy them on the deck. We spent a lot of time at the dock/floating dock relaxing, reading, swimming (yes it was cold!!), and soaking in the sun. We brought our canoe and paddleboard and the quiet no wake cove was perfect for paddling and exploring. A great place to unwind and get away from it all. Two things to note: bring sheets……

“The property was just what I needed. I was taking a short stay because I lost my husband of 49 years in Sept. I need some time and some quite away for a few days. The family members only stayed a night and day. They also enjoyed the place. Thinking of making reservations for next year. it was clean a few things were not working and of course there was some critter droppings but that can be expected in any house. cleaning company needs to inspect a little closer when cleaning and put something……

“The Holbrook Hotel is always a wonderful experience with big, beautiful rooms that are so clean and comfortable. The location is great for downtown and Averett University. Can walk across the street to Crema & Vine (lovely coffee and wine cafe) or down the street to delicious King Cropp for dinner. Also, parking is free and super easy! And they’re now pet friendly in one of the buildings! This hotel is my first choice in Danville. ”
