“ if you need a place to stay and you have pets that come with you it’s a good place to stay! There is a fenced back yard (if there isn’t too much snow) which was awesome! The owners are very responsive and helpful! Little touches like having leashes and dog toys is cool, along with a welcome basket with popcorn and fresh cinnamon rolls from a local bakery was also great! The only minor complaint I would have is the living room furniture and click clack couches are not very comfortable and the……

“You can see Lake Superior out of the side windows. The area was having a blizzard and we took a x-country route to get there. Big mistake. Taking us41 to Calumet was way better in bad weather. Very cute place. Lots of parking, snow plow service didn't come until we had already shoveled out and headed to town for the day. More and better shovels would have been appreciated.”

“My great grandparents are from Calumet. My great grandfather worked at the Quincy mine. I always enjoy when we can stay in the area and visit the old store fronts downtown, learn history etc. We brought the kids on the "lights out" tour of the mine and they had a blast. With the storm that came through one night, my mom took the kids out (okay all kids, lol) and went Yooper light hunting. My son, who is 19, said it was the best vacation yet. Thank you for the prompt reply when a family showed up……

“All the cozy vibes while visiting our MTU students for winter carnival weekend! Everything we needed to spread out, visit together, and enjoy our time. Many games of chess were played. Jacuzzi got a lot of use. Our college students enjoyed hiking in the snow & found some surprise igloos. Plenty of vintage books & decor add to the charm! Thanks for a great weekend.”
