“After researching hotels etc. I chose this hotel. I wanted more of a country feel to it and not right in downtown where it would be noisier & possibly hard to park your car. The front desk could be more friendlier & cheerful especially on the phone. Usually I call the property directly so I can have an idea of the surroundings since this was my first time there. I took a chance anyway even if the person on the phone did not elaborate. The place is close enough to Rockland where we went for……

“The room was clean and attractive, and we appreciated having a Keurig coffee maker in the room. The continental breakfast in a pleasant dining area was very nice. The ladies who run this obviously care about the attractiveness of the rooms and the comfort of their guests. The only downside is that the view from the comfortable chairs outside the rooms was the parking lot. ”

“We were looking for a location between Portland and Acadia National Park, and settled on the Camden area. We are so glad we did. Glenmore by the Sea was perfect for us! Our little cottage was a perfect home-away-from-home. The setting and landscaping are beautifully maintained. Breakfasts were great and delivered quietly to our door. We got great nights of sleep there due to the quiet atmosphere all around and the comfortable bed. The shower head had the best water pressure of any we have……

“ Pulled in late at night, very tired and was really pleasantly surprised by the easy accessibility, cleanliness of each cabin and the incredible views of the water. The staff was really helpful the next morning the main lodge and room filled with books and cozy corners was really, really pretty. Very casual. Pool and sauna look adequate… didn’t try them.”
