“This was our 4th time staying in the Bird House and we had another enjoyable time. We love the country location it makes us feel like home. This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses. We cook most of our meals to spend time with our dogs but we did order take our from Caruso's Italian Restaurant and it was great and only 5 minutes away so still very hot when we arrived back to the house. We would highly recommend it and……

It was cold and rainy for our stay, but we hope to return in the summer to take advantage of the beach and rails to trails spur (only a short walk from the cottage). “I stayed at Butterfly Cottage for several weeks during a work assignment in the area. Going back to Mount Gretna every evening was much better than a hotel, and the hosts of Butterfly Cottage thoughtful, communicated well and made sure the cottage was clean and well-appointed. I look forward to coming back soon.”

“We had a short stay to extend our week from another rental. It suited our purpose of having a place to put our heads at night. Cottage is well lived in with some repairs needed. Very animal friendly which was a bonus for us traveling with a dog. Most supplies available (no toaster). Shower only. Parking is located at nearby church and house is short walk down a path connected to lot. This is where we unloaded and carried our stuff to and from. “The house had all the conveniences of home. Within walking distance of the Tabernacle, Jigger Shop, Playhouse, tennis courts, the Hideaway & playground. Rails to Trails within 1 mile. The parking spot in back of the house is a bit tight but ok for a smaller car. I would recommend bringing bottled water.”
