“This property and staff are incredible! This was a family vacation with our adult children and six grandchildren, fifteen of us in total. Stephen is a wonderful host. He was so quick to communicate, answer questions, and put our mind at ease. The staff were so amazing…kind and accommodating. The only draw back was the trek to get to and from activities. So know that going in. However, if you want privacy, wildlife, and unforgettable views, the villa has you covered. ”

“Overall excellent. Only (minor) problem was that the first night was pretty cold, and there was no heat in the room. The second night the host provided a ceramic electric heater and that made the cabin very cosy.”

“I had an amazing stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the two toucans that visited us in the morning. They were flying around, perching on the trees, and watching us while we relaxed on the terrace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! ”

“Our family of 6 stayed at Madre Salva for 6 days during April vacation. To say that the experience was magnificent is an understatement. It is unreal. The house itself is thoughtfully designed and an ideal fit for our family. The communication and attentive service from Carolina and Rume were excellent. It was remote enough to feel "off the grid" but surrounded by activities and everything that you could need. We did plenty of walking, waterfall hiking, white-water rafting, and relaxing. Thank……

“Casa muy grande y muy cómoda. De fácil acceso. Cerca de San José. La casa muy cerca del centro de Pérez Zeledón, con muchos supermercados , panaderías y farmacias disponibles. Excelente campo para mascotas. Un 100 por permitir mascotas sin restricciones de tamaño. Contacto 100% con la naturaleza. Payton es un gran anfitrión. La renta incluye personal de servicio y limpieza de la piscina cada dos días, lo cual es excelente. Katerine y Yorky fueron muy amables siempre.”

“The house is great, finding it was a challenge as the google pin wasn’t accurate. The 4x4 recommendation is no joke. We regretted not having gone food shopping beforehand. Once you are there, you won‘t want to leave. Beds, kitchen equipment, pool are all magnificent! We did have a power cut in the night which caused the electronics to beep. So sad we only had 3 nights in the house.”

“We felt like we were alone in the jungle, full kitchen very nice bathroom separated from the bedroom. The bedroom does not have glass windows one night was a little bit warm, so please take that into consideration but overall we loved the concept. Keep in mind there's also a huge construction boom in Costa Rica so there is some street noise, can't see it, but sometimes you can hear it”

After walking down the stairs, you see the most incredible rock house with built-in spa, open concept living/dining areas, and truly incredible bathroom with heated seat and great shower. We loved spending family time together in this memorable location. If we had more time, we would have enjoyed hanging out in the gazebo over the river. Very excited to return someday.”
