“Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Bear Cabin. It had a relaxing ambience and set up for comfort from the beds and furniture, the well equipped kitchen, ample towels and blankets, to the wrap around porch and the hot tub. It was meticulously clean! Even the wildlife seem to know this is a tranquil place-we viewed a baby deer about the grounds wait around for momma doe, which came to collect him towards dusk. Thanks, Mechele, for sharing your home with us!”

“It is hard to summarize our stay in words. We were there 7 years ago on our honeymoon and had a blast. So we returned. Patrick, Nicole and they have improved on what was already a great place and atmosphere. We HIGHLY encourage others to visit the Manchester winery for amazing memories and the awesome stay, and the very top shelf wine’s and atmosphere . D &S”

“Had a great time. The Cavalier Cabin was perfect for traveling with another couple. There's bedroom and full bath upstairs and another bedroom and full bath downstairs which made for a nice division of space. Had great evenings on the upper deck and firepit down in the yard. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.”

“Such a cute little place to enjoy! It’s affordable and well maintained! Owners are so sweet and accommodating. My husband and I will be coming back hopefully soon! We originally booked for our honeymoon, if you have kids you know sometimes it is what it is… the kids had a blast. We loved the pond and all the nature around us(especially the cows). ”

Property sits back off the road. Nice if you have a dog. The game garage had plenty of room. Karaoke stage, lights, microphones. Pool table, Skee-ball, pingpong. The arcade Video game with PacMan, DigDug, Mappy and more brought back good memories and made new ones. Life size connect 4. Cornhole. Kitchen had everything we needed.……

“Nice and peaceful stay with a wonderful hot tub to relax in after a day full of hiking”

“We took a girls trip 5 women ages 35-55. We absolutely loved this place. Serene and comfortable. It could’ve easily accommodated more. We honestly could’ve just hung out at the house without sightseeing. It’s the perfect location to relax with a good book if you have little ones they would also love this place. The creek and game room would’ve provided our kids a good time if we had wanted to bring them lol 10 out of 10 recommend.”

“Good amenities with the hot tub and grill. They tell you there's no Wi-Fi and limited service, but you'll live without it, trust. The one bedroom is pretty cramped, so you might wanna only bring up to 3 people. Owners were responsive and helpful. Nice and secluded, but the road getting back there is pretty bad. Be cautious driving on it. 15-20 minutes from the park. ”

“The place was just what we needed and was one of the better properties we’ve stayed at. Brandy was very responsive whenever we reached out, and the place was very clean and comfortable. We stayed with our 3 grandkids ages 15, 14, and 10, experienced travelers who’ve stayed with us in various locations over the years. They all agreed it was a great place. Brandy provides many items I’ve had to purchase myself at other rentals - dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towel, toilet paper, hand……

“We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at this cabin. The home has everything you need and I loved that all the cabinets and light switches were labeled. The cabin is close to everything and it was nice coming back after hiking and enjoying the hot tub and fire pit. Definitely a great place!”

“Our family enjoyed our time at The Hocking Hoot! Everything was just as pictured and the home was spotless. The host responds quickly and was able to accommodate check-in arrangements for my aging mother. There were plenty of games and activities to keep our 6 and 9 year olds busy. We especially enjoyed the fire pit, two living areas, and fully stocked kitchen. I highly encourage others to book as this was the perfect place to unplug and connect with family/friends. ”

“We had a great time for "girls weekend"! The cabin was very clean and the amenities were everything that was promised. The location was 20 - 30 minutes from most Hocking Hills hiking locations and there's a great winery about 1/2 mile away! Overall an excellent stay.”
