“My parents stayed at this location for an overnight trip in the mountains and it was their first staying there. They thoroughly enjoyed their stay and loved the feature of the balcony/patio in the room and the view of the mountains was spectacular and having a full-size refrigerator was convenient to have since you could store more drinks in it compared to other hotels. “We booked this to use the pool and restaurant. Be careful when booking the lodge vs the hotel. The pool was only open from 8-8 and we arrived At 815. The bed was not so good, sagging . Breakfast was just ok, limited items. Staff was ok. Place could use some upgrades. Better than camping. Location was convenient.”

“Shabby - shabby - chic Historic Pennwells. Pros: Lots of character. Very friendly staff - but everyone is friendly in Wellsboro. Good restaurant and tavern on site. They share the same menus. The interiors of each are unique and terrific. The hotel is in the center of town and walkable to everything. Cons: old and shabby - but it's a bit cool at the same time.”

“Our stay at was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. While there is no on-site front desk, the owner made the check-in process seamless by providing all the necessary details the night before—super responsive and attentive to ensure we had everything we needed. They only accepted cash or check for our stay which wasn't a problem, but something to note for future travelers. One of the highlights for us was that our dog was welcome to stay……
