“We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.……

“ We spent five nights in the petite apartment, which is beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. Lovely gardens, swimming pool and a braai. The maintenance and cleaning is to a very high standard, WiFi worked well. It’s well located in a quiet / safe area, pleasant walk to an abundance of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Highly recommend a visit, we’ll be back!”

“Was a great house and location was perfect but being winter and a coldish weekend, would have been nice to have a few heaters but the blankets were a great second best and made it warm enough. Beautifully decorated and had everything that we needed from cutlery, utensils, kitchen aids and the air fryer is always handy to have. Lovely outdoor patio overlooking the ocean and on 3 sides makes it perfect for choosing the best spot to hide from any weather and to watch the sunrise and sunset and the……

The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name.”
