“We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.……

“ We spent five nights in the petite apartment, which is beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. Lovely gardens, swimming pool and a braai. The maintenance and cleaning is to a very high standard, WiFi worked well. It’s well located in a quiet / safe area, pleasant walk to an abundance of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Highly recommend a visit, we’ll be back!”

“Overall, I have fairly mixed reviews. We went with oceanfront penthouse for our wedding trip. Logistics: I booked this thinking we’d be in Newlands. The original address was in Muizenberg, but didn’t get the actual address until 24 hours in advance. This address was in Kommetjie....this was super far away. Thank goodness we decided to rent a car because we would have spent a fortune on transportation. I also had hair/makeup and a florist come to the house. But I had given them the original……

“The Valley lodge is Excellent in respect of amenities, safety, restaurants, the staff at the restaurants and lodge are helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name.”
