“We enjoyed the large room tastefully decorated with amenities. Had a little issue with the tv remote which was resolved promptly by the front desk clerk. “Our experience at the Silverside hotel was very relaxing and it was just perfect after a week in Porto. There was rain from beginning to end of our 4 day adventure, but loved to come back at this hotel to relax and unwind and mostly heat-up! Thank you Loren o for all you special attention!!”

“The owner (Francisco) was so nice and accommodating. All the power went out in Portugal for 10 hours so we could not go out for dinner or buy supplies. He and his family provided dinner and wine for all the guests. What a great stay. Their house is beautiful and has been in the family for 100 years. I would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. Don’t stay anywhere else but here! BTW the castle is awesome!”

“The hotel occupies about a third of the monastery and has been fully renovated. It is very clean and quite spacious. Definitely a very unique experience and there is no other place like this.
