“Great hotel in Monte Gordo, we had a fabulous stay in a wonderful town with amazing beach and very close to the Spanish border. Staff were grand, we had a very good buffet breakfast, main items to choose from. Very close to beach and shops. If needed there is a 2 1/2 mile walk to the border town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio along a straight road but the beach walk is glorious although twice the distance. Beach is just fantastic. Was a small fishing village before tourism and no natural……

“Staying for one night to visit the area...hotel is very well located and very quiet..the rooms are a good size and clean. The breakfast was good.. Beds are comfy and bedding is clean and cozy.”

“La experiencia a sido buena los horarios no tienen sentidos el spa de 14:00 a 17:00 y el mismo horario para el gimnasio. A la hora del buffet de la cena un poco escaso para el precio y el desayuno parte de lo mismo ”

“We got the cheap studio with the sofa beds that dont have such great reviews. However, we turned them around and put them together to make a big bed. They were quite comfortable and the sheets and pillows were good quality. Very satisfied. The only issue was that there was no dish soap in the kitchen. The balcony had great views of the village and the beach. We were facing west, and had a lovely sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the restaurant called Bellmonte next……

“No frills kind of place. The business take 2 floors of what seems to be a regular residential building. You need to call to arrange check-in, but it was easy and quick.The commercial, non-touristy area and its overall appearance didn't do justice to how clean, and comfortable the room was.”

“Great second stay this year in this hotel. Overall it is very good but if you like your cooked breakfast, be warned that it’s almost cold every day. We did tell the staff but nothing changed. We hoped when we returned that things may have changed after the busy new year period but the breakfast is still the same. I’m not sure on other meals as we were b&b only. ”
