“Little House by the Ferry was exactly as described. We wanted a weekend holiday get-away in the off-season and this trip hit the mark. The cottage is as shown in the photos and description. Since it was off-season and only a few on-island amenities were open, it was nice to have the little kitchen details like coffee filters, salt, pepper, etc. The cottage is in a very quiet area and easy walking distance to most places. It was tucked away in the center of Ocracoke just enough for privacy but close enough in town to ride the golf cart right down the street to all the shops and restaurants. The inside was decorated so nicely and very cozy. Me, my mom, and my lab had an amazing time.. We will definitely book again in the near future! ”

“Our visit in Atlantic was so very nice. My Mom lives in Sea Level and sister lives in Atlantic. Although not my first time visiting but your sweet little cottage supplied all the comforts of home and the location was perfect for us. We visited Cedar Island for a day on the beach and took the ferry from Harkers Island to Cape Lookout. We had a wonderful stay. ”

“We had an amazing time and this was a great location! So close to the beach, very comfy for our family of 4, and the porch was the perfect spot for all our meals and post-beach relaxation. The only thing I’ll flag for future renters is that I felt like the supplies at the house were really limited, and given how remote the area is it would have been helpful to know that ahead of time. We were only given 1 roll of toilet paper, half a roll of paper towels, 1 spare trash bag, and really limited……

“Such a beautiful and peaceful place to relax and watch the sun rise over the Sound. Our hosts were very hospitable, the cottage was quite comfortable and the views were outstanding. A perfect place to stay while exploring Cape Lookout and Shackleford Banks, just a 15 or 20 minute ride from the ferry terminal.”
