“This property had almost everything you need. We were traveling from Oregon so we’re a little unhappy we had to buy sheets, towels just for a two night stay. This has always been provided in any short term rental we have booked, it should be required. Great location and parking. Very close to everything. ”

“Richard is a very gracious host! We loved the house and all of its ammenities! Especially allowing our fur babies! My brother in law has mid stage Alzhimers and loved the peace and quiet. House is very comfortable and feels like a home. Loved it!”

“If you’re looking for quiet and solitude, along with a homey place to lay your head - Windswept is it. My husband and I took our two miniature dachshunds with us for 7 days and 6 nights. There was a yard for them to run around in, a long board walk through a salt marsh down to a private beach. We caught crabs ( and threw them back), we flew kites, and just rested. One day we did take the Cedar Island ferry to Oacrscoke (a four hour journey - there and back). Be prepared to come with……

“Wonderful lodging for the traveler who wants a quiet and scenic location. Cottage is remote with a scenic drive to reach. Short walk to a quiet wide-open beach. Enjoyed evenings on a lovely large screened in porch. Easy private parking. Interior was comfortable and clean. Outdoor shower was great when returning from beach. Tiny kitchen but has all one needs to cook.”

“This place is excellent; it lives up to the online pictures. Great neighborhood. The decks and screened in porch are great too. The golf cart is a great extra that saves you money. On my next trip to Ocracoke, I will try to stay here again. ”

“Drove over 7 hours to arrive to the house about 15mins before getting there I get a message that there is no water the well had went out the day before we went the first 18 hours of vacation with 12 people with no water and only thing that was offered was full refund and try to find something else or tuff it out the house was nasty due to not having water beds were made with dirty bedding dog hair and pubic hair on and in beds and killed 4 roaches during the stay just before check out we were……
