“We loved our stay. David was such a generous host. We had a unique situation where we were in town for a family emergency. David was kind, empathetic, flexible, generous and accommodating. We can’t thank him enough. We will be visiting Decatur again over the next few years and hope to stay on this property. It is really close to Millikin University which was a huge bonus. ”

“We rented this vrbo during a heat wave, so we spent a lot longer inside than out. The AC systems worked well and we had a great time using the kitchen and media area. Id love to come back sometime to use the baskwtball, pickleball, and bocce ball courts as well as the outdoor bar. Zack and Bex were great hosts and responded very quickly. A few small thinga to improve: Some of the fans did not work, i expect the remotes just need a new battery. The AC could not go lower than 75. This is fine……

“I am an advid traveler, and I enjoy all types of lodging accommodations. However, this property was not presented as described. I never received check-in instructions nor the code to access the property even though the information was requested days before my arrival. Upon arriving to the property the exterior of the home was not maintain. The driveway was littered with multiple trash bags and empty alcohol content and the trash bin was full to capacity. A pile of trimmed tree brances were at……

“The place was great. Beautiful view of the lake, quiet neighborhood, beautiful house. The owner was always quick to respond. ”

“We had 6 ladies who shared this house for 2 nights. It was a good location close to our conference location and dining needs. We will definitely consider this house in the future. It is on a main road so there was a bit of traffic noise but it let up later into the evening. We were easily able to accommodate ourselves with the 1.5 baths. Rosa was always available to answer my questions and very quick to respond. ”

“Listing did not match the description. Home smelt terrible of smoke. Carpet, couch and property was very unclean. Standing water in the basement that made the house smell even more. Only 4 clean towels for 3 people and 3 nights. Only 1 extra blanket. No hand towel for bathroom. We had to purchase toilet paper as there was less than 1 roll. Door would not lock shut unless we pulled up on the entire door and held it up while it locked. Had to purchase cleaning supplies to make it so we could stay.……

“The house was set up perfectly. There was plenty of space for everyone, and everyone was happy with their rooms. We enjoyed watching football on the giant display in the living room. The host was responsive and on top of everything. We’re coming back again for work and will definitely book again.”

“House was clean and organized. Loved that the bathroom was stocked with anything needed. Neighbors were friendly and shopping within 5 mins was a huge plus. Lots of restaurants to choose from and grocery stores extremely close as well. Overall a grear stay. Thanks for having us.”

“We had a nice stay at the Holiday House. The decorations made it extra fun! We had 3 adults and 5 small kids — it was nice to let the kids play with toys and in the yard while adults hung out. The hosts were great! We had no issues with our stay, but the hosts were quick to respond when we asked for a recommendation for St. Patrick’s Day festivities.”
