“Great stay in Thibodaux for Christmas to visit family. The home is older and rustic, with lots of character and many original features. We looked it up and found it to be built in 1908. It was VERY clean, nicely decorated and filled with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of extra towels and bedding. Nothing was cheap, like you find in many rentals. The host was great to communicate with and answered any questions I had before and during the……

“The pictures of the place look cute. When we got there we were horrified! My family and I arrived to the property, and discovered the 3rd "bedroom" was a refinished garage without heat! It was 40 degrees that night. We also found mouse dropping in a different bedroom. We travel with pets so we had no other choice but to stay the night. We didn't arrive until after 9pm. When we woke the next morning there were cockroaches in the kitchen. We called the owner right away. He knew about the roaches……

“To get to the parking area in the back of the house, you need to drive through the yard on the right side of the house from the main road (there is a slight bit of driveway entrance there). There is a ditch that runs across the front yard, but there is a culvert on that side that will allow you to drive to the back. I was looking for an email with the door code and instructions when I should have been looking for a text. Follow the instructions for the lock regardless of any extra beeps you……
