“Had a lovely stay at Chonor House. The hotel has beautiful Tibetan interiors and is a minute from the Dalai Lama Temple complex. There were some issues we had at the property - there seems to be a problem with the plumbing throughout and on one occasion, we found cockroaches at the breakfast area, but the staff was very nice and made changes as requested - changing rooms and changing the entire breakfast spread. Tenzing and Pelki (hope the spelling is right) are really helpful, and a special……

“A bit away from the central market but very peaceful. It is mini tibet. The rooms are spacious. Hotel serene. Staff very helpful. Ms. Rupali receptionist, ms. Cherry, himmatbhai and all restaurant and room service staff polite and always helpful. Food needs little improvement. Every room must have hot water geyser or boiler. They have solar connection for hot water but it takes time to get hot water. In house laundry is an advantage. Rates are reasonable for all services. We have stayed there……

“Three night stay but I wish it had been longer. The property is full of character and immaculately furnished. Our room was incredibly spacious and the view from the terrace was magnificent, watching the sunset was a joy. However, the best thing of all was the service received. The entire team were wonderful. The meals were absolutely delicious (both breakfast and dinner were exquisite) and the servings very generous. Located a five minute walk from the main road, so quiet but easily accessible……
