Pet Friendly & Convenient 2 Bedroom with private fenced in yard and Hottub

"The Birdhouse" is close to everything but it feels like you are in the woods somewhere surrounded by trees, birds chirping and squirrels. Private guest suite located in West Ashley just minutes from downtown Charleston, the airport, James Island and Folly Beach! This cozy space holds 4 adults comfortably and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy some fresh air. There are many places walking distance from my property - Los Reyes Mexican, O2 Fitness, Harris Teeter, Metro Diner, Tin Roof and Home Team BBQ! Avondale neighborhood is biking distance and a short Uber ride away.

Kitchenette includes a mini refrigerator with freezer, kitchen sink, microwave, air fryer, toaster, blender, electric hot plate and cooking pot/utensils. Keurig and French press included with coffee and creamer. This is NOT a full kitchen so if you plan to make a lot of cooked meals here this listing is probably not the best for you. You're welcome to grill meals outside when it's nice out!

Each room is equipped with a portable fan, ceiling fan, full length mirror and TV connected to Roku and WIFI. Both rooms have a desk, chair and mirror for remote work or getting ready to go out. There is a twin blow up mattress and plenty of extra pillows and blankets should you need it.

The inside space consists of 2 bedrooms, hallway, kitchenette, bathroom and shared laundry room.
There is no inside living room space but we have worked hard to make the screened deck as cozy as possible!

The screened in deck has a tall ceiling to keep air flow going but bugs and rain out. There is a fan, outdoor propane heater and gas fire table to keep you warm in the winter. There is a full-size futon (great for afternoon naps!) couch, Roku TV and bistro table to enjoy coffee in the morning. We have many nice days in Charleston and the deck is great for outdoor living! in addition, you have a private yard, inflatable hottub, dining set and hammock to enjoy. Your yard is separated from ours with a 6ft vinyl privacy fence.

Full bathroom with tub and shower. Lots of towels and natural/fragrance free toiletries for you to use!

Note : this is a guest suite that is attached to my home. the Floorplan is such that we can't really hear one another but wanted to reiterate. no parties allowed.

Dog Owners - I charge a one-time $50 pet fee. if you plan to bring your dog please adjust the booking as such. There is a large dog crate under the bed in the back yellow room for your use! there are some treats in kitchen cupboard and dog bowls on the deck. Please pick up dog poo with complimentary doggie bags!

Beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and towels are available for your use

Outstanding place to stay
One of the best short term rentals I’ve stayed in! Check-in couldn’t have been simpler, and the place itself is terrific. It was great for our two bulldogs - especially the screened-in porch area that stayed cool enough for them to hang out in all day. Lots of bugs but that’s just Charleston. Everything was clean and the space is very well-supplied. Would stay there again 100%.

Screen porch was the highlight
Overall this was a decent stay. I loved the porch with the cozy setup and the backyard. That’s the main reason I decided to book. I was hoping to be able to sleep outside, but the mattress was too hard for me. The location was nice. It was close to the beach and Charleston. The only things that would keep me from coming back are the pressure of the shower, it was way too intense and the tub didn’t drain quick enough. The smell was musky and not the most pleasant.

This was my best experience in Charleston besides the food.The host was amazing at helping with anything we needed and my car wouldn't start The last day visiting but he was there to help.This is The only place I would stay in Charleston.The outside living room was the cherry on top.

Shared house with owner
This is an older home that has been renovated and is a mix of old (bathroom) and new floors, finishes, etc. My main concern was that it was a house divided into back and front, with the owners living in the front. Only separated by an adjoining door. Just my personal preference but I prefer a separate space. The porch is nice but be aware it is the only place to sit and socialize. Inside the home is only bedrooms, bathroom, shared laundry and the tiny kitchen. Evening drinks on the patio were quite chilly even with the heaters on. Would be a great space especially in the warm weather. Mildew smell when you walk in. Kitchen area is very small. Really only enough space to cook single meals or toast and coffee.

Overnighter for early flight
Just needed a reasonably priced place to crash for early flight out of CHS. Fit the bill for that. Some minor confusion on check in (original plans had changed on our part) & Just A bit more "communal" than expected & that we are used to. But we slept well & caught our flight on time.

Perfect!
My dog and I were only there for one night, but it was absolutely perfect for the both of us. Very peaceful, private and relaxing location. The screened porch and fenced in back yard were perfect for my dog to safely enjoy while I was out for business meetings. An easy 1 minute drive to enjoy some Home Team BBQ, complete with good food, good tunes and some pretty awesome Widespread Panic and Grateful Dead memorabilia on the walls. I will definitely look to book again one day. Natalie was awesome.

Birdsnest
It is a special little place, in the sense that it does feel private and cozy. It is an old neighborhood so we weren't comfortable walking around after dark . It is a very convenient location if your're driving to the places you plan to go to. I love that they allow dogs of any size, we have a Bernese Mt. Dog and many properties don't allow over 40lbs. The fenced in area was perfect for letting her out at night. And the screened porch is great.....nice set up We were only there for two nights, but we will go back again, hopefully when it's cooler

We had a very enjoyable stay in West Ashley. It is a good location and not far from just about everything. The house is comfy and clean. The screened in porch is a very nice amenity. The shower had very good water pressure. The host was very responsive and provided essential informatio about our stay. We would book through them again if we were to go back to the area.

Hidden Gem
My family stayed at The Bird's Nest for a quick vacation to Charleston. It is an adorable cottage connected to the owner's home. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. Natalie had plenty of supplies including k-cups, cofee creamer, towels, and a pantry stocked with things you might need such as soap, lotion, etc. She quickly answered any questions I had. It was well decorated and cozy. My favorite thing was the futon on the screened in porch. We didn't have the best weather but it was nice to relax and lay on the porch and listen to the rain. We would definitely return.

Perfect for a short getaway!
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our 3 day stay here. Natalie was an amazing host, she was super helpful and ensured a comfortable stay. The outdoor patio is actually screened in now with curtains for privacy and made the outdoor living space much more cozy than what the picture shows! We spent most of our evenings hanging out on the porch with the gas fire pit and it was a perfect oasis. The location is great! about 10mins from downtown Charleston and 20-30 mins from both Folly Beach and Isle of Palms! we did a lot of sightseeing and visited all 3 places and we had such an amazing time. I would absolutely come back to stay again!! :)
