“Most of the amenities weren’t available but the beauty of the chateau and the kindness of the caretakers more than made up for it. If you’re looking for a quiet place to soak in the countryside, this is it. Serene, quiet and beautiful If you don’t have a vehicle be sure to stop at the grocery before heading in. “We arrived at Domaine du Chauvet after a long drive from Spain. Mr Jabali was the perfect host: he was very welcoming and he prepared us an excellent meal at a time to suit us. The building is beautiful with a decor of stone, wood and white linen. Parking is safe and secure behind electric gates. Our bedroom was small but very comfortable. Next morning we had the best breakfast ever - pastries ,bread, fruit , cereal, coffee, tea, juice. We would definitely stay here again!”

“Great location for walking around Bordeaux. Large room and excellent bathroom. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Our only concern was that to reach the rooms you had to climb stairs with your luggage and as we had heavy suitcases it was not easy ”
