“Staying in Munnar is expensive, even for 2 nights. I decided to stay in a hotel which is approx 10km from the city. This did mean I needed to be transported everywhere if not exploring the immediate area. I wanted to see Munnar and all it had to offer in 2 nights. Fortunately I did find a tour which would cover this and provided a collection and drop service. Though, due to the distance you must acknowledge it'll be approx 500 INR each way. “The good - the room size is huge, the staff at the restaurant were very courteous and provided service with a smile. Please ensure to ask room on higher floors. From start the experience wasn't good. Whlist making the booking we opted for breakfast and dinner included in our tariff. “We stayed at Monsoon Grande in Dec 2019. The view of the tea plantation from the room was wonderful, but it's far away from most place without private transportation. The bed was comfortable, and the linen was clean. But the couch and sofa had stay and there was mildew in the shower and there was a very humid smell in the room in general.
