“We love the Painted Door cabins! This is our second time staying at one of them (first one was the green door). The location is perfect -- so close to the park. And the hot tub was a real treat after a long hike in the park.Our only suggestion is about the thermostat. Maybe clearer directions about how to adjust? It was VERY cold in the cabin when we arrived -- uncomfortably cold -- and it took several hours for the cabin to warm up to a comfortable temperature. But overall a wonderful place to……

“The cabin is cozy and comfortable, surrounded by woods, peaceful and quiet. A sample of the owner's/manager's responsiveness: we reported that we couldn't find the lid to the coffee pot. A few hours later, there was brand new coffee pot at the door. (There was no urgency; the Keurig worked fine.) Great location too. Townsend is closest to the national park without the tourist mayhem or towns like Gatlinburg. I highly recommend the Yellow Door Cabin. (I'd love to get back there for fall……
