“The property is small and lovely. The juxtaposition of the noisy chaos of Tokyo, with this relaxing oasis was just what we needed. The staff were so helpful and communicative. The food was delicious and the private onsens were absolutely beautiful. There isn’t much to do in the area but we didn’t mind because the hotel itself is hard to leave. ”
“Unmatched experience. A ryokan that takes on only one guest group per night. Kim-mi, the owner, and truly heart and soul of the house is so polite and forthcoming, it’s unbelievable. The house itself is beautifully curated with a mix of traditional and modern. The secluded location is elevating the experience to the next level. Kim-mi has a rich story to tell and conveys it through the creation of this Ryokan. I truly believe it’s a hidden gem that is gonna blow up once people start noticing……
“No wifi inside the room! How come?
No cold water in the bathroom, only hot water..... asked to pay for the hot spring entrance but I was not told when booking!
”
“I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one.
Far from the center of Matsumoto
Nothing was around the property
Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically.
The only nicer point was hot spring with good scene”
