“Spent 2 nights here the staff were very helpful and friendly The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage space and air conditioning very good as it was 30 degrees during our stay. The pool area was very good. We only ate in the restaurant on one evening and it was very good.”

“The room and view facilities were fantastic. The bar and restaurant downstairs were busy, but the accommodation upstairs was quiet. The Polish lad (I think) who works there was really friendly, helpful, and quirky. The only two slight issues were that the parking was a bit of a trip but not a deal breaker (£10 per p/night) and that there was a group staying in the room next door who must have been chain-smoking as it stank out the corridor, etc. Other than that, the stay was top class and I will……

“Friendly staff in this hotel, food excellent and varied. Lovely big bedroom, comfy beds with vintage furniture, bathroom could do with a bit of a makeover. Superb view looking over the river with the swans and ducks. No lift in the hotel so I did struggle with the stairs.”

“Property a historic one, so inside and out reflects this...needs some tlc and a bit of thought for less able like grab rails in the bathroom. Our room was clean and quiet, a fan had been put in and duvets removed because it was so hot, very thoughtful. Staff were pleasant and helpful and the breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We would stay there again.”

“Overall not bad. The hotel was built a long time ago. Even though you took the lift, there were still many stairs to go if you were assigned to the 3rd floor. I checked out the hotel on 5/21 morning. The black girl at the front desk was not very helpful.”
