“My husband and I took a last-minute getaway for his birthday. The home was really nice and right on the river. It was a quiet area for the exception of the train which was no bother. The property was near state land which allowed us to do some hiking. Just a 20 minute drive into town for restaurants and shopping. ”

“We arrived to a clean and tidy house right on the river! The views are amazing. The location is in walking distance to some fun places as well as outdoor activities. A two minute drive will bring you to McGregor, a town with charming shops and dining options. Cross the bridge over to PDC for even more dining and shopping options. A five minute drive in any direction will bring you to excellent hiking and overlook areas!”

“Arriving at the location, I was quite surprised that it was so close to everything we wanted to be close too! We brought a boat and were able to park it right across the street in a lot, so it was very accessible to go back and forth with plenty of room to get the boat in and out. The home is decorated so nice with the Irish touch. Us being from the home of the biggest Irish Fest in Iowa, that was great to see! The kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of space along with the bathroom and……

“This is our 4th year of coming to PDC for an adults trip but the first staying here. The location could not have been better - we could easily walk to most bars, restaurants and shopping. The house had plenty of room for all of us - we will booking here again next year!”

“The property was exactly what we were looking for during our fall weekend gateway. We enjoyed the exceptional view of the Mississippi in the morning. And the hot tub at night. Great and easy communication with the property manager. We would come back again in a heart beat. ”

“Everything was as advertised and worked well for my small group of duck hunters. Train is nearby, but if windows and doors are closed it is not that loud.”

“What an adorable house, everything you need. Communication with owners was fantastic!The only thing I can say is bring earplugs, between the train horns and the loud neighbors, we didn’t sleep much!”

“Four of us were in the PdC area for some quiet-road bike riding. Some of the small compromises needed to enjoy an historic lodging such as this were a bit lost on us, so the value equation was a bit off. The separate bedrooms were nice. Communication was excellent, and a small noise issue (from roof repair) was temporary. Train noise at night might bother others, but wasn't an issue for us. ”
