“Location: Tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood in the city of Basslake, the cabin offers a serene retreat. It's within walking distance of a lovely park featuring a beautiful waterfall—a perfect spot for a relaxing stroll. That said, be cautious about swimming or walking barefoot there, as the area tends to have quite a bit of duck droppings. For those wondering, we did try fishing but didn’t get any bites. Parking at the park is $10, and the payment process can be a bit……

“Ideal location with large back property for children to play. Could easily walk to the lake or store. Great restaurants available close by for pizza and burgers. Tried to message "host" twice-no response. Had to on-line chat with someone who did not have any information for us.”

“Lovely cabin that has a dock in one of the smaller coves. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin as well as the access to the water. It was also nice having kayaks, paddle boards, and a splash pad to use anytime we would like. Tammy was an amazing host, very responsive.”

“We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in Shaver Lake! The home is cozy and inviting, with plenty of space both indoors and outdoors to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We had 12 teens with us, and they absolutely loved it. It was the perfect place for them to hang out, explore, and have fun. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend getaway. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, friendly, responsive, and very easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again and……

“A fantastic spot to book for a group trip - good for families with kids as well as friends that don't mind getting a little cozy with multiple beds in each room. It's only about a 5 minute drive away from Shaver Lake, and there plenty of amenities (ping pong table, board games, chairs to use for the lake, blankets/towels). Erich is super responsive if anything comes up. I think for the price point, it's very affordable for those looking for a short weekend getaway!”

“The cabin was very large for 3 families of 3 with young children and toddler. Lots of rooms for the kids to run around with books and toys for them to play with in the closet. Located about 10 minutes from town, but there is lots of driveway for the kids to use bikes and area around the house is good for the kids to explore. Overall wonderful experience!”

Kids loved the basketball hoop and the adults appreciated the comfortable beds, the view of the lake from the kitchen window and the deck, and the welcoming feel of the place. We also really appreciated all of the advice on local restaurants, beaches, etc and the free Yosemite guide. Thanks Wendy! ”

Stairs to the loft are not for everyone but once you’re up them it’s a great space. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay!”

“Every other year my family has a reunion at Bass Lake. This is the third year that we have rented this home and we will probably rent it again next time. It is a wonderful home for a large group. There are seven bedrooms one of which is a bunk room with four beds. Plenty of room for a large group like ours. They have added air conditioning units to many of the rooms which was great. It would have been nice to have one or two units in the connected two bedroom suite which can get a little warm……
