“My friend and I meet in the middle in Lancaster every Memorial Day and this was the favorite place we stayed! Our kids (3, 7, and 10) loved playing on the little beach and floating on the rafts (it was still too early season for swimming). They also enjoyed watching the neighbors/hosts go about their chores and chatting with the chickens. “This was my first time using VRBO. The description of the property was exactly what it said. If you have a baby and young children they also provide baby beds, high chair, books and games. Great location to the surrounding farm land, shops and restaurants. The host were great. The cottage has a warm country feel. I would recommend staying there. ”

“This was our 3rd stay in this lovely home. The location could not be nicer. It is so quiet & peaceful. We enjoyed watching the Amish farmer next door plant tobacco and the ongoing horse & buggy traffic. The house is one of the best stocked houses we have ever stayed in. “I had a wonderful long weekend. The house was clean and had everything I needed. I loved being able to enjoy the outdoor space and it was made all the more enjoyable with the chickens. The location was perfect for the activities I wanted to do (reading, hiking, & bird watching!). I would definitely stay here again. ”

“I can not say enough. The house was lovely, grounds so cute, and the hosts are a wonderful family. They have a small grocery store on the grounds with all the things you might forget if you even need it because the kitchen was well stocked. One of the daughters greeted us and was a joy. Iv stayed in a lot of vrbos and this one is hands down my favorit. ”

“Very comfortable home to stay in, very peaceful as the name says!!”

“Both the property and the hosts were delightful. Our family (husband, wife, and toddler) absolutely loved the house. The distance from many touristy things (about 30 minutes in our case) was nice because it helped the house feel like more of a retreat. We would definitely stay here again!Parents, note that the house comes well equipped with some baby/toddler gear which is not mentioned in the listing. Reach out to the very helpful host and you might save yourself some packing!”
