“For your information. 1st the price quoted by VRBO was NOT the price when booked, beyond the cleaning and taxes the price raised by $50. I called the rental company about this and they said it ranges day to day and they could do nothing about it.😕 Also you must pick up and drop off the key, not terrible but a bit of an inconvenience. The house itself was beautiful filled with antiques and very convenient to town. The church next door has beautiful singing bells which do not chime at night. How……

“Quiet, clean, comfy”

“We had a great weekend. There was plenty of space for two adults and two dogs. We didn’t bring our son but there would have been plenty room for him too. Everything was clean and working and the setting was very serene and pleasant.”

“My husband and I are OU alumni. We came to Athens to visit my brother-in-law in his senior year. I always loved spending time at Strouds when I was in school and it was so fun to stay at this oasis right off the hiking trails. Wish we would’ve had more time to explore the outdoors, but we were mostly on campus, which was an easy and beautiful drive! We will definitely be back to this home next time we visit. It was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. ”

“The property is located right off State St. & you could easily walk to stores, restaurants and city parks. Note: I booked this property thinking it was a walkable distance to Court St - it is not. But it’s only a 5 minute drive away. Loved that we could bring our dog too! All necessities were provided & there is lots of space to spread out. They even have a large assortment of games, books & movies ”

“This is the lower half of a house. It’s nicely fixed up and furnished. A well-stocked kitchen, cozy living room, and a comfortable bed. Checking in was a little complicated because info was on the property management website instead of Vrbo. Only real concern is that it’s a basement and there’s no egress except through the front door. Could be a hazard in case of a fire. Overall, would stay here again!”

“The property was perfect for 2 people looking to have a relaxing weekend, it is close to restaurants and all the hiking places in hocking hills, however, you still get that secluded feeling! Would highly recommend!”
