“My husband and I are OU alumni. We came to Athens to visit my brother-in-law in his senior year. I always loved spending time at Strouds when I was in school and it was so fun to stay at this oasis right off the hiking trails. Wish we would’ve had more time to explore the outdoors, but we were mostly on campus, which was an easy and beautiful drive! We will definitely be back to this home next time we visit. It was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. ”

“The property is located right off State St. & you could easily walk to stores, restaurants and city parks. Note: I booked this property thinking it was a walkable distance to Court St - it is not. But it’s only a 5 minute drive away. Loved that we could bring our dog too! All necessities were provided & there is lots of space to spread out. “This is the lower half of a house. It’s nicely fixed up and furnished. A well-stocked kitchen, cozy living room, and a comfortable bed. Checking in was a little complicated because info was on the property management website instead of Vrbo. Only real concern is that it’s a basement and there’s no egress except through the front door. Could be a hazard in case of a fire. Overall, would stay here again!”

“We stayed for just one night but absolutely loved it! The home was spotless and had a clean, modern feel while still capturing the charm of the countryside. Watching the cows from the hot tub was such a unique and relaxing experience, and waking up to the sound of them mooing in the morning really made it feel like a true farm stay. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful escape with a bit of personality!”

“The rental property was great. Two bedrooms nice and spacious. Plenty of parking. It's a pretty quiet area. The only reason it's not a five-star rating is the internet is horrible. The TVs disconnect from the internet every 30 minutes or so and I tried to use the Wi-Fi and could not because it was so slow. Other than that it was a great experience and I would stay again.”
