“The cottage is cosy, clean and very inviting. Shiskine is a wonderful place to stay, quiet and very appealing. It's very close to Blackwaterfoot, which is beautiful. The Kinloch Hotel does marvellous meals (takeaways too). What really makes the stay worthwhile is the landlady, Jan. Last year, when we couldn't get off the island due to ferry problems, Jan put us up for an extra with no charge. This year, the same problem occurred and, while we were at Lochranza, she texted me to check things were……

“This property is fabulous. It is definitely a home from home, has everything you need & i would live here full-time. Fantastic views & very central to town. The beds are very comfortable & has great extras like phone chargers for any phone. Power shower & as it was a winter holiday the heating kept the house lovely & cosy. We had the best time & a very restful holiday. The hosts were attentive & went above & beyond when i accidentally left my jewellery. We would highly recommend this property……

“This apartment was ideal for our 3 night stay while we walked the West Island Way. Comfortable, bright and cosy, with everything we needed for our stay. Fabulous view over Rothesay, the ferry terminal and beyond. Definitely worth the short steep walk up the hill to get there. Would happily return. ”
