“Comfortable home, awesome to be so near the main features of Yosemite. We saw a bear out the kitchen window which our kids loved! Unfortunately some wildlife was inside, a mouse. There were droppings in the kitchen when we arrived and the host kindly refunded the 300 cleaning fee. We caught the mouse with our own trap the second day. Make sure all your food is tightly sealed up!”

“The house is well maintained, bright and big enough for 8 people including kids. It's near to Merced river and is good for short hikes or strolls. Although it gets very dark in the evenings. The house is equipped with almost everything you would need and can stay for a week or longer if you want ”

“We had a wonderful time! We did puzzles on the large dining room table, watched a DVD movie, made great meals in the kitchen. The place was very comfortable and warm (it snowed just before our arrival). There was some rain so we were very appreciative of the covered parking spot. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area.”

“I know Wawona fairly well and this cabin is positioned perfectly! It’s right above the main swimming hole and the sound of the river is amazing at night. It’s an old cabin but has everything you need.”

“Place is perfect location for ease of getting to trails. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of cookware. Master bed very comfortable. Comfortable family room furniture with plenty of comfortable seating for 9 adults. Only drawback was there are 3 bedrooms and one sofa bed. Listing stated had 2 futons, in addition to 3 bedrooms, as our complete party didn’t arrive until Wednesday we didn’t realize second sofa was not a fold out until Wednesday night Owner was aware we had 9 adults so not sure why……

“The property was clean. Simplistic. A bit aged and worn. The kitchen had all the utensils and appliances one would need. Everything was convenient and met our needs other than no internet connection and no sponges or brushes to facilitate cleaning up in the kitchen. The downstairs master lacks a shower or bath, and there is a small spiral staircase to the second floor where the full bath and other rooms are located. The stairs are rather slippery and need a non slip pad, especially jf one is……

In addition to great location for getting to and from Yosemite Valley, we 3 retirees so enjoyed the memorabilia filling every room, the well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, very comfortable beds, the sense of privacy in a quiet neighborhood, and walking around the block which took us past the small Pine Tree market (basic food/supplies). Exceptional host - communication excellent including detailed directions. Highly recommend!”
