“The Cliff House was an excellent resto-pub with rooms. We bagged the last room and although a bit on the small side (which he had been advised in advance), it was well appointed and scrupulously clean. The bed was very comfortable and the furnishings had a nautical theme. Food was outstanding and great value. Staff were delightful and most helpful. The beer garden was a bonus too. We had no instructions on how to put heating on and could not understand how the thermostats worked. We tried to contact owners but only had a reply the next morning after a very long cold night.
