“This is the cutest cottage with all the amenities you could ask for. The house is very clean and decorated so special. The hostess has thought of everything you could possibly need. She also keeps in touch in case you need anything. ”

“We enjoyed our stay in the cabin! The cabin was well equipped with all necessities. It was nice sitting in the rocking chairs and swing on the front porch and looking out into the woods from the back. Only problem was the mosquitos but there was a can of OFF under the bathroom sink! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing and calm vacation that is in close proximity to state park with hiking trails. 20 minute drive to Walmart but it seemed faster.”

“My siblings and I were there from Missouri for my father’s Celebration of Life. The Dan River property was just what the doctor ordered: peaceful and serene. The property is a perfect private hideaway with room to move and think. The home housed myself and my five siblings comfortably…very homey with loads of charm and character. I hope this property is available every time I plan to visit the Ararat area!”

“The house is great! Very, very clean. It has everything that you need. The view from the back porch is truly unbelievable. The property is secluded and very quiet, but 15 minutes from Meadows of Dan and Chateau Morrisette Winery and Restaurant. Communication with the host was great! Without a doubt, this is the most peaceful place we have stayed at.”

“We loved the cabin in the woods. It was very roomy and comfortable Everything that we needed for cooking was available . The porch was great. When we come to Meadows of Dan we are visiting with family in nearby Laurel Fork. The cabin is so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the overlooks on the Parkway at Rocky Knob are spectacular . We walked up the street in the neighborhood almost everyday and could see the cows in the meadow and off in the distance Buffalo Mountain. Meadows of Dan is a……

“Overall the stay was pretty good. We were visiting the area for a family reunion, and my family is huge and loud, so it was really nice to have a quiet spot to come home to. I loved the quiet, the house was very quaint and cute, nearest neighbors were close enough to see but too far to hear. Plenty of space for us to stretch out. Hubby loved sitting on the patio watching the wildlife and fireflies, me not so much, lol. That was the only negative for me; the bugs...it was manageable, but if youre……
