“Location, location, location! So quiet and peaceful. We stayed during winter so even more peaceful. Did not catch and fish but were told they migrate in winter. That was evident as we are avid anglers. Mt. Airy has all services and supplies one might need plus plenty of places to eat and historical things to do. The cons: Well water with sulfur smell. That takes some getting used to. Bottled water is a must. kitchen was ill equipped for any foodies thinking of renting (bring your favorite……

To replace the toilet with a tall handicap style toilet, toilet, and make sure that it was fastened well on the floor. “I loved the people! Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to be helpful. Check in was easy and because we were there this trip for a funeral they got us into one of our rooms early so we could freshen up and change clothes before the service. They were very understanding and kind. Darrel was extremely helpful, he understood my husband was having health problems and could not walk long distances so he assigned us rooms near an exit we could park close to. We appreciate everything……
