“This cabin was fantastic to unplug and get away for a nice weekend. The hills on the way to cabin were a little more than expected but doable. Pack light and have a buddy to help push the cart. The sauna was amazing and if you shower when you are done the water will be warmed up. We loved every minute. Temps were 40's to 60's and the cabin stayed nice and warm. No issues with the composting toilet, there was plenty of solar power, drinking water, blankets and firewood. Head lamp recommend. We……

“The cabin has all you need for your stay in Grand Marais. Plenty of space, including a fun rec room with ping pong table. Easy walk to everything in town.”

Everything was as described in the listing, plus the amenities they provided were wonderful - well stocked kitchen, towels to use with the hot tub, lots of games for kids and adults, and on and on. Great communication, too. I thought the wood fired hot tub might feel like a chore, but it didn't - we used it a ton and loved it. Such a special place, right on the lake and the river. We loved it and hope to be back. ”

“This was by far the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. The house was lovely, clean, comfortable with every amenity imaginable, fabulous views of Lake Superior, and within walking distance of everything Grand Marais has to offer. The Scandinavian-inspired architecture of Aurora with it's multiple outdoor spaces gave us a peaceful setting for some much needed R and R. We hope to come back!”

“We were looking for a place to stay for a late snowmobile trip and happened to see the sleds parked in front of property in the pictures. We were hoping to ride right from the house but the weather got too warm. Only a 5 minute trip to unload and ride.”
