“The property was where we needed it to be, parking was great and the home was spacious for our group of five. Unfortunately, it appeared as though no guests had been at the home for a while and a refresh cleaning was needed. The house was very dusty and we swept and wiped things down before using. There were only five small towels, no dish towels and no blankets for the sleeper sofa. The house was very much a no frills.”

“Very comfortable house with everything you need for a weekend or longer stay. The kitchen has lots of pots and pans and dishes. The fridge is huge. “We wanted a place to get away for some peace, quiet and relaxation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and that's EXACTLY what we got! We felt right at home at the tranquil Runaway Retreat and didn't want to leave (our dog Stella seemed to feel the same)! “We were in town attending a memorial for a local family member. The first floor rental was the perfect spot for our family. We had two other members of the family that were able to rent the second floor. We were able to see both rental units. “We were in town for a 2 day volleyball tournament. We booked this place because it was reasonably priced and only 10 minutes from Gallipolis and 20 minutes from The Root gym. The only thing that could have been better was warmer weather to sit out on the deck. The cabin was beautiful on the inside, perfect for our quick stay and the beds were super cozy. The hostess and her family are absolutely the sweetest and our homemade breakfast that they delivered was delicious!! We will stay here again……
