“We very much enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites in Wilmington. The location was convenient to our activities and had some great amenities like the pool, restaurants and bar located on property. Most of the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. My only critique was for the Front Desk staff. While they were not outright rude, they were not very welcoming. I never once received a smile or "welcome in" from anyone working the front desk. The automated text messaging service was……

“Everything was top notch. All employees were pleasant and professional We just wished they had coffee pots in the room. Definitely would stay again, we'll just bring our own coffee pot.”

“I have used Hotel Ballast exclusively when traveling to Wilmington, NC. I have always had the use of a walk in shower. However, this trip was different. I was placed in room 637 which had a bathtub with the use of a shower. I was not given the option of a room with a walk in shower. Based on ones age and to prevent accidents, rooms should be age appropriate based on guest needs. The room also had an extra door. I could see other guest or employees walking by that door. ”

“We had a great time during our stay. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We found a great steakhouse a mile from the property. Close to Wilmington and Carolina Beach. They had coffee available in the lobby all day!! The pool is smaller but the outdoor area around the pool was very nice, even had music playing on the speakers at the pool. Will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area. ”
