“Charming compact studio unit that I rented during a ski trip. A lack of communication before the reservation created problems at check in but were resolved with VRBO customer assistance. However, communications with owner thereafter were excellent. Property is well maintained and I enjoyed the hot tub amenity. A grocery store is only a block away but one has a 10 minute walk to get to the ski lifts and to the center of town for most restaurants. There is a shuttle bus that operates through……

“A unique place for the night. Surprisingly quiet for staying downtown. Bed was comfortable and nice towels. ”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. Cozy TV room was so enjoyable. The views were wonderful. I was able to cook in the kitchen and make dinner for my extended local family who came to visit. It was very quiet and restful. Good Internet and wifi, a TV channels to watch Super Bowl and our favorite shows. ”

“The condo was small, but was nicely decorated, with a personal touch. A binder of information gave area details including favorite restaurants. There were quality appliances and a comfortable bed. We walked to lift 7 in the morning (a little closer than the gondola), and skied back to the gondola and caught the free ski bus in the afternoon. Walking to town in regular footwear was very comfortable.”

“When we arrived, we were a bit unsure of our choice. The outside of the building was rustic indeed. However, the inside was furnished beautifully with modern conveniences. The place was originally built in the 1800’s! It fit into the historic town of Ouray perfectly and was within walking distance of two different waterfalls. The community was friendly and safe. It had beautiful scenery and was within driving distance of many natural attractions. ”

“Beautiful unit. Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Awesome location.Minor gotchas: 1) Only 1 ceramic coffee mug. There are 2 metal mugs, but those don't play well in the microwave. My wife bought a matching set of 4 ceramic mugs at the thrift store, so that shouldn't be a problem going forward. 2) Only 1 roll of toilet paper! Caught us with our pants down. 3) Bummer shower experience: 5 minutes of hot water, then freezing! Followed all shower instructions to a T.”

“Avantstay was terrible to deal with. Two hours before our check in, they tell us we no longer have the condo we wanted and paid for. The "bathroom did not get remodeled in time". They never mentioned anything was wrong with the bathroom and i booked 2 months in advance. They switch us to another unit that was far worse. The place was much smaller, wifi didn't work at first, gave us wrong code for the pool. After all said and done, they gave us a small refund. If you want a nice vacation, don't……
