“The apartment is in a "not so great" neighbourhood, but it's not as scary as some of what the other reviews said. You do feel a bit unsafe late at night, but there's a nice Texan/Mexican restaurant just 3 mins walk from the apartment. Food there was nice. If you just get in and out looking for a place to stay, this apartment is perfect. Once you step inside, the place felt secured and safe. There's a staff there near the entrance overnight. “We had a group of adults attending a convention in Washington DC. The property was perfect for what we needed. The only thing that would help would be more chairs for the table. It was HOT and HUMID while we were there as well. I know there were only window air conditioners….so maybe some oscillating fans would have been beneficial as well. Dr. Koura did stop by and this woman was amazing. So kind….so understanding. Thank you Dr. Koura for allowing to stay at your house. It was an honor.”

“Three old college buddies (from the 60s!) wanted a reunion in DC. We found Tommy's residence on a lovely tree-lined street with charming townhouses to be perfect. There was a king bed for two and I slept on the comfortable couch. I can't imagine doing that arrangement for two couples though so this is really perfect for a couple and two kids who don't mind the couch and a mattress on the floor, for example.One thing that could be improved was the arrival instructions. “Great place with perfect location!”

“This place was adequate and convenient, but certainly far from gracious. Access requires walking in the dirt around a motorbike on the walkway. All the furniture, linens and dishware are sound but old. The beds are soft. You hear anyone walking about upstairs. But you can't beat it for the price in DC, and everything works. The neighborhood seems safe - between two elementary schools. Lots of parking, though signs say 2-hour limit, but we did not get ticketed. ”

"The Tidal Basin is just across the street from the hotel, and the hotel has its own private bridge across the street to the Tidal Basin, which is in a great location to view the cherry blossoms at the Tidal Basin and go to the National Mall. The service staff is very friendly, and the hotel is tastefully decorated, clean and warm. The room is large and overlooks the Tidal Basin from the window.We came to see the cherry blossoms this time with my elderly mother. The hotel is very conveniently located for my mother in a wheelchair to visit the Tidal Basin."
