“cottage was darling- not as functional as we would have liked for colder weather-( table in porch) but comfortable otherwise!”

“Heavily misrepresented surrounded on three sides by construction equipments and various piles of refuse. Shed is divided in two, with construction porta potty as only restroom. Shower set up is illegally with dirty shower water going directly onto the forest floor, an environmental hazard. Entire area was dirty and porta potty was full. Was forced to find a different room last minute because the host was completely non responsive to multiple Messages and attempts to reach them. Only plus is that……

“We enjoyed our stay in this quaint, cozy cottage in a sleepy town close to several Acadia trailheads. Our host was easy to communicate with and ensured our stay was comfortable. ”

“Listing says it’s walkable, but it’s probably a good 20 minute walk and it’s not ideal with kids because of traffic once you get into Acadia. It is a short drive to Jordan pond house though. Our mattress was from 2007 and we did not sleep good at all because of it. Not enough seats for 4 to relax in living room after a long day of hiking either. Very responsive host so that was a positive.”

Everything was quite clean and the host was quick to respond to my text inquiries. The location is great, near several good restaurants, and easy access to the all the sights on the island. “The house was great and well appointed! We had everything we needed. We especially loved the fire pit and ping pong table. It was the perfect size for a family of 6 plus one dog. The distance to Acadia was a bit longer than we expected -- only 25 miles or so but this translated to 45 mins to an hour - depending on the time of day. ”
