“My husband camped in the George Washington National Forest for many years until giving that up for health reasons. I found this sweet guest house, which was perfect for us and our dog Cookie. The decor is enchanting and the place was spotless. Michelle was friendly and welcoming, and she thought of special touches to make the visit a great experience. Although the kitchen facilities were limited, we used the mini-fridge and microwave to prepare a nice dinner that we ate at the cute kitchen……

“My wife, dog, and I had an amazing weekend stay here at the cabin. The pictures do not do this place justice, it is very clean and has everything you’ll need. Our dog lived running around the property and the fire pit was perfect in the evening. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We are excited to come back!!”

“Janet and Brian have a piece of heaven out there. They were immediately welcoming, kind, and gave us recommendations in the area that were spot on to what we enjoy. The views right from the porch are breathtaking. The house was clean and the location is just so peaceful. Jasper their horse gave the best greetings, and we had so much fun hanging with him. Our family fell in love with Virginia, and that’s a huge thanks to them both. If we make it that way again (we hope to) we’d absolutely be……

“We loved our stay on the farm in the cottage. The cottage was super cozy, clean, and bright. Well equipped. Hosts were very nice. We loved the farm and thought the animals were hilarious. Great location and very convenient to downtown and to hiking. ”

“If you are looking for a place to breathe fresh air with a view of pastures and the mountains, this place is for you. The owners were accessible for questions about local happenings with a quick text. The fenced-in yard and no steps anywhere were great for our dogs. The stars were incredible. The kitchen is well-supplied. If you want something more than taking in the view and relaxing, Lexington is a cute town and is just 20 minutes away. We'll be back!”

“This house is everything it says it is. Out of the way but a great place to get together with friends and family to make new memories. It rained one of the days we’re there but that was fine because there was so much room and things provided in the house that we didn’t even notice! Management was excellent”

“My mom, SIL, and I took a much needed three day weekend away to visit the Maple Festival and spend some girl time together. The Cabin at Back Creek is the perfect spot to do that. The proximity to the sites of the festival is perfect; we didn’t feel like we were in the car too long and the views along the drive are amazing. The Cabin is perfectly situated on the creek to enjoy the sounds of water and birds while relaxing on the porch or in the hot tub. Highly recommend a visit if you want to get……
