“Absolutely the best spot! Area was safe and easily accessible by car to all places Authentic Flavors restaurants was by far our favorite place to eat and walking distance from this rental! Morning parrots and iguanas and even saw a horned beetle!!! ”

The pool was much larger than the pictures made it look, and we enjoyed swimming in it every day! The grounds were beautiful also, and we felt like we were in an oasis in the middle of the jungle!A few cautions: the road at the end is a bit bumpy and steep. “Check in couldn't have been easier. Terry, the host, was in contact with us while we were there and went the extra mile and gave us complimentary snacks and drinks. We didn't have any issues during our short stay. The pool was a great and relaxing amentity, especially after coming back from a tour in the hot month of August. “Perfect from start to finish, and I have never said that in all our travels. We always have "if only they had done this" conversations. We let the chef, Elias, have free reign. He would ask for likes/dislikes, and again, not a single bad meal. Out of 6 adults. Try that at any restaurant. He is also property manager, Betty and two others helping with grounds. I'd had an emergency right before our trip, so was housebound while the others did tours, and never felt their intrusion.Shout out to……

“Our family of 5 stayed in two cabins in late December 2023 and had a great time. The cabins were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Each had a porch looking out over fields and the Macal River. Manon was a fantastic host. She gave us great recommendations on places to eat in San Ignacio and things to do in the Cayo Region. The Lodge is down a dirt road that is very bumpy (like most roads in the region) and became very muddy because of the rain so we parked about 1/3 mile from the lodge……
