“Had a lovely stay at Chonor House. The hotel has beautiful Tibetan interiors and is a minute from the Dalai Lama Temple complex. There were some issues we had at the property - there seems to be a problem with the plumbing throughout and on one occasion, we found cockroaches at the breakfast area, but the staff was very nice and made changes as requested - changing rooms and changing the entire breakfast spread. “Great location, being less than 5 mins walking distance to the main shopping and dining area and Kalachakra Temple, yet feels quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Room was of a good size, very clean and well equipped with good heating. Bedding was very comfortable, bathroom was good, hot water supply worked great and wifi network was strong. The view of the mountains, including the Dhauladhars, was good from the balcony and the restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating with lovely……

“Three night stay but I wish it had been longer. The property is full of character and immaculately furnished. Our room was incredibly spacious and the view from the terrace was magnificent, watching the sunset was a joy. However, the best thing of all was the service received. The entire team were wonderful. The meals were absolutely delicious (both breakfast and dinner were exquisite) and the servings very generous. Located a five minute walk from the main road, so quiet but easily accessible……
