“The hotel was great from the food to the service. Everyone was very kind and treated us like family. They even picked us up at the train station in Paola and drove us to attractions we wanted to see! We couldn’t have asked for better service and a better experience. “What a lovely experience to be in a restored 11th century castle. The restaurant has a limited menu but you will not be disappointed. Everything is homemade including pastas and local cheese production. Italian meats are made during the slow season by the workers at the hotel. The view of the valley from the back door of the dining room is spectacular. This is a hidden jewel in Calabria. ”

“We had an amazing stay! Checked in a little late in the afternoon and pool was closing, but they made an exception and allowed up to enjoy the pool. Drinks on the pool deck were amazing! The beach club was fabulous and food was great! We were treated like royalty! Truly impressed and will definitely visit again! Scalea has beautiful beaches and now one of our favorite spots! ”
