“We enjoyed being in the middle of nature, right next to a pond, that is connected to Rodemacher Lake. In the evening and night the frogs were singing their orchestra, and you wake up with birds singing. If you like this, then this is your place. If you don't like bugs, then this might be challenging. The cabin is equipped with all you need. It is a little outdated, but that fits the location.”

“The property was very clean. The grounds are a beautiful lake setting in the woods. We really enjoyed our stay very much. Check out the pecan orchards down Hwy 1 if you get the chance.”

“Do not fall for this. It’s a dangerous high crime area. These people would not help me after I told them we felt uncomfortable and unsafe in this home. Furthermore, they started ignoring me after I had tried to explain I needed to try to get a refund. I honestly do not trust vRBO any longer because they allowed this place on their listing. And side note, we never stayed in this house, we found another place to stay. They have 2 pending deposits and I really hope that they fall off because if……

“Enjoyed our stay! I liked that there was an alarm. We came in late at night, the area looked a little sketchy at night, had a better view in the daytime, all was good. The location is close to all the stores you could possibly need. The water pressure was less than stellar, especially if you have thick curly hair, lol. The beds were comfortable, but some of the sheets had stains. Over all a pleasant stay, I would stay again. Thank you!!”

“Overall the property we stayed at was 5 star for the price point per night, kitchen is not equipped to cook, dishes are minimal and the kitchen was “used”. The backyard while they allowed pets was unkept and when it rained became gross and soggy. I needed the backyard for my pets and they didn’t want to walk through the standing water. “This is a hidden gem. If youre looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Very quiet to do your relaxing, or fishing. The neighbors were very quiet during our 5 day stay. Cabin is very nice. Everything was perfect. We will be back. ”

“This home was beyond filthy with stained sheets, stained shower, maggots , mildew and mold. The smell inside could possibly be interior mold. We didnt even stay after seeing it upon check in. The owner refused to refund our money and stopped responding to my messages and claimed he was working with VRBO but has kept ALL of our funds. We work with the local military base and were there for work but this place is beyond anything i have ever seen. If i could post pictures i would.”
