It was the perfect place for a group of friends to get away from city life and refill.We frequented The Hays House, a historic restaurant formerly owned by Daniel Boone’s relative (& where I had the absolute best mashed potatoes!), the bookstore (where I had a lively interaction with the owner), and another little shop that served coffee, lunch, and……
