They've taken such great care all round to have everything you can possibly imagine for your stay. The property is beautiful and especially picturesque with all the snow surrounding it. “Beautiful home ! Very spacious with all the amenities you need. Large deck with plenty of seating where we enjoyed morning coffee and sunshine. Family room was spacious with TV and was perfect for watching a movie.Fire pit with chairs was great to sit around and night . Host was quick to respond and accommodating and provides all bedding and towels which makes packing for your stay 100% easier . Would recommend this home to all our friends and family. Loved It! ”

“The stay was the best to date by far. I’ve been coming to old forge for years and always looking for a great place to stay. I need to look no more. Matt was awesome at responding to everything. The attention to detail in the house was perfect. From fresh towels to the coffee and different flavor creamers and even the small things like having hooks outside near the hot tub to hang towels. The house was also spotless. Clean from top to bottom. This will be my new spot for the future. Perfect! ”

“This was a beautiful house and was well stocked with whatever we needed. The weather wasn’t great, so it’s good that there’s so much to do at this house.”

“This property is a dream. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is it. Right on the river, walking distance to hiking, and complete privacy from neighbors. There's a side yard area where my 4 year old could safely play without worrying he'd run toward the water. Access to the water was easy for us, water low now so we practiced fishing on the rocks. “It is an older property which has been updated with the necessaries, including kitchen and bath. We chose it for the location but mainly, because we were able to bring our two dogs. There were six of us and although the cottage was cozy, we were perhaps a bit cramped. That would not have been an issue but a rainy week forced us inside more than we would have liked. The location is beautiful - very close to First Lake and right off of Hollywood Road. The side road was excellent for dog walking……

“We loved our stay here, it was a very cozy atmosphere in a great location. All the details were well appreciated. Would recommend!”

“This cabin, checked every box that was needed for a perfect peaceful, relaxing, unwinding, recharging weekend get away for my wife and I. A must hike owls head mountain. Absolutely amazing. So much to do both directions just down the road from this location. The cabin was extremely clean. Felt just like home. The hot tub was fabulous on a cold evening. Will definitely look into for future weekends. ”

“Very cute cabin and very clean. There is no lake view, no lake access and no kayaking from the cabin. Perfect spot for a resting spot if you want to venture around in the Adirondacks. ”

“Nice location right on the lake, and near Old Forge. Cabin is as described in listing. Very pretty view from deck. We enjoyed the kayaks. Near rte 28, convenient but quite a bit of road noise. ”
