“We had the best stay at the Outpost Inn. This family owned Inn was so cozy. The attention to detail was incredible. We loved the onsite coffee and wine bar. We will definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend more. ”

“This property was perfect for a couple's weekend getaway to Highlands. It was close and easy to get to town. The property was nicely appointed for our stay. The screened in porch was our favorite feature, which included a sitting area as well as a dining table. ”

“A small but well equipped cabin at the end of a private road. A deck with table and chairs expands the living space. Very quiet location behind the owners house. There is a fenced in yard at this cabin perfect for a dog to explore. There is a barn and fenced area for the two horses. A large section of the pasture has reverted to natural plantings which attract a variety of birds. The road to the cabin runs along the pasture providing viewing and photographing opportunities. The host lives on……

“We came down for a weekend to visit our son who attends WCU but also to adopt a dog from the shelter. We knew we’d have a dog with us for the last night there and needed a pet friendly home and found Lisa’s place. The home, location, ease, location, and friendliness all exceeded our expectations. We decided night one we would be back for sure. Night two after visiting the shelter we decided we’d even love to come back and save another four legged friend and bring them into our family. The town……

“Loved everything about this house.it was super clean and beautiful. The owner was quick to respond.”

“Really pretty place away from everything for a coupe nights. You have to go up a couple narrow gravel roads to get to it but not that difficult to get to at all. Our only issues were that there was a small gap at the bottom of the front door (so a couple small bugs got in) and that the blinds on the back door in the bedroom were a little broken, but it wasn’t enough to ruin anything. The host was very responsive to any questions we had and ensured a good stay.”

“The location is beautiful. The house was clean. kayaking and canoeing on the lake was amazing. Also rented a boat one morning to tour the tree beautiful waterfalls on the lake. The only issue would have been parking, however the owner was very accommodating. It's best if your able to park your vehicle inside the garage. Great lake front location with beautiful towns nearby.”
