“I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The person who welcomed me on Wednesday was amazing, as were several other staff members I interacted with during my stay. Unfortunately, my experience on Sunday night was very different. The staff I dealt with that evening — including one man and a woman — were extremely rude. “OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. Hope these……
“Arrived at the property and called to check in. Was told that property was closed for refurbishment and I had to go to a different property managed by them 15 minutes away.
Got there and room was minimal and bare. Host was nice but it wasn’t an aparthotel as the original one was advertised as.
I left and booked a night at a local Travelodge instead. ”
“Really good value for this incredibly spacious apartment. A comfortable night. A couple of touches would improve the stay even more. As previous reviewer mentioned, the only mirror is above the bathroom sink. Its on the top of the jet garage which is closed at night. ”
“Stayed here while going to a friends wedding in the local area. Created to really friendly staff and check in was a breeze. The room was compact but had everything we needed, comfy bed and even a little hamper with slippers, teas coffee and milk.
Hotel is above a pub though there’s a separate entrance so coming and going was easy.
Would recommend if you’re near by.”
“Loveley size room but very dated. Bathroom was very shabby. Enjoyed sitting by the lake having a drink. Loverly hotel by the lake but in massive need of updating.”
