“My wife and I enjoyed three gorgeous days at this home. The breeze coming off the water under the porch was priceless. This is a classic old house with knickknacks and things from days gone by. If you desire, modern and upscale, this is not a house for you. If you enjoy classic… You’re gonna love this place. So many wonderful things about this house… A view from every room and every point in the house. Huge screen porch. The house was also spotless… Well cleaned and ready for us. The owner is……

“We were very pleased with the property. We brought our 25’ center console and was able to maneuver it and park at the dock. Water depth at the dock is around 3-4’ depending on which way the wind is blowing. The water depth varied between 4-5” in the 3 days we were there but was still plenty for the boat. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to coming back! Thanks Brooke and Red!”

“As the description says, it is a unique place. Since this is a former business and the accommodations are set up in there, you don't get a full kitchen, just a coffee maker and toaster oven. It didn't bother us at all, since we weren't going to cook anyway. The aquarium with the fish is gorgeous. Slightly noisy, since the pump has to be running constantly. Not ideal for light sleepers, but it can be fixed with some ear plugs. The location is right across the river, and everything is roughly……

“We had a wonderful time visiting New Bern and staying at this apartment. Ideally located in Historic Downtown, we left the car parked and walked everywhere with our dog. We knew that the apartment was pet friendly, but the entire downtown area welcomed us and our fur baby girl. We were allowed to take her into a handful of shops and there were several restaurants or eateries that provided outdoor seating. We were surprised to see that two restaurants we visited offered a four-legged guest menu……

“Easily one of the best vacations ever spent with my family! There was always something to do in this little oasis. Fishing, boating, even dolphin paid us a couple visits. The 5th wheel was really nice too, slept like a baby. I think we turned the tv on twice. Tammy and John are extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful.. two genuinely awesome host! We will be back! ”

“Although there was an issue getting in the front door, the host was super-responsive and helped us get in quickly m the house was clean, comfortable, and had lots of great activities to do right there in the home. I would definitely stay there again!”
