“We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. “David is an incredible host! We cannot thank him enough for hosting us for a week! Everything was just as described in the listing. The rooms were comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. David was extremely receptive to all communication and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time in Canaan. “Communication was excellent. Location was great for what adventures we had planned. The basement apartment had everything we needed. The two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom was well equipped. “They have excellent customer service and the host is a very kind and considerate person! We couldn’t believe the price for the area! Hands down, no one even comes close to the price! If you want a great bargain and don’t need expensive frills then I highly recommend this. It’s close to beautiful hiking trails, antique shops, outdoors sporting, parks, and some towns that aren’t too far (without paying the tourist trap prices). The tv service and WiFi were a plus. “Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! ”

“The Hayloft is beautifully renovated, and the property is so peaceful and quiet. The smell of wood welcomes you when you enter the loft. It is immaculately detailed and so clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and each evening, the owners came down to feed the cows; a delight to watch. We walked the trail along the property, and our favorite spot was walking out of the woods into an open field with beautiful green grass and newly planted trees. Absolutely gorgeous!! We will definitely stay……

“Wonderful place for the perfect getaway! Just like the photos definitely worth every penny. Just have in mind that you are in the woods so the bugs are inevitable but the inside of the place was very clean.Me and my family took advantage of all the amenities from the grill, hot tub, fire place.
