“David is an incredible host! We cannot thank him enough for hosting us for a week! Everything was just as described in the listing. The rooms were comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. David was extremely receptive to all communication and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time in Canaan. We will definitely be back! *Don’t forget your fishing poles! Our 6yo son caught a huge bass, and two huge trout!”

“The Hayloft is beautifully renovated, and the property is so peaceful and quiet. The smell of wood welcomes you when you enter the loft. It is immaculately detailed and so clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights and each evening, the owners came down to feed the cows; a delight to watch. We walked the trail along the property, and our favorite spot was walking out of the woods into an open field with beautiful green grass and newly planted trees. Absolutely gorgeous!! We will definitely stay……

“We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. We had to place a folder to block the view! 3. It was very hot in the room! Good for this winter weather if course, but was hard to……

“Great place to stay for the night, located very close to downtown Davis and Blackwater falls! It was cozy and just what we needed. The only thing that could be improved is the water temperature of the shower is very tempermental, as in you have to get it exactly in the right spot or its too hot or too cold. This is minor but something to note. We would definitely stay here again. The hostest was very responsive and I would give her 10 stars if possible. Thanks! ”

“This place was cleaned to its best when we arrived! Everything looked and even smelled brand new. It was definitely an experience that we'll be coming back to. The jacuzzi was amazing, and the fire pit provided with wood was awesome too! They even brought us a fire starter later the next day for us! The host is incredibly respectful and nice! I HIGHLY recommend booking this for a little get-away vacation!!!”

“Loved the cabin! My only complaint was that the upstairs bed got hot during the night making my daughter uncomfortable. We put the fan up there the second night but it didn’t seem to help. She slept on the loveseat. Everything else we loved! ”
